I am not a hard person to please so even though this review may seem poor, we did stay our 4 days. Just read the reviews and consider if it is for you or not. This to me is not a luxury hotel but it will do for a short stay.
Pros: location to shops, restaurants and downtown DC, continental breakfast was decent, there was an omlett bar. There was a complimentary drink option at the bar (not sure how it works because I didnt take advantage of it, so be sure to ask). The view from our window was nice. They have a recycling bin in the room and have option for glassware vs disposable for breakfast drinks (if you are a tree hugger like me). Neighborhood was beautiful.
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable felt like sleeping on a wood mattress with maybe a foam pad, same for pullout bed (maybe bring an air mattress for that person) furniture looked stained, toilet didn't always flush down on first try, if you love a hot shower the water either burns the flesh or freezes you, it was hard to find a perfect in between. Pool is shared with local swim class until 7pm so half is available to public, not really a problem unless you plan on using all day. If you want extra/more towels, wash clothes, TP you have to walk down and pick up or wait for the cleaning service.
Overall it could use some updates but it was clean. I don't spend too much time in my rooms on vacation so cleanliness, the soft beds, cable tv and large and clean bathroom are a must as well as continental breakfast.
