There were ROACHES in my ROOM
there were roaches in my room. I called immediately and a nice gentleman showed up and picked it up with a tissue and threw it in the trash for me. I was offered a different room, but I just wanted to leave and find a new location with a clean room. The Hotel refused to refund me for my stay, and I was forced to spend additional money on a new hotel room for the following night. Awful experience with Howard Johnson, will NEVER stay here again. I called the Hotel immediately and Hotels.com but the representative was unable to get my money back for me either. I guess Howard Johnson needs my $300 more than I do...

The front desk staff was extremely helpful, Immediately he changed our room when he realized we requested Non-smoking and we were given a smoking room.

Bad service
We stayed there 3 nights. On the second day we called the front desk to ask for towels. Instead of saying they will bring them to us, they said to go outside and look for a housekeeper to ask them for towels.
