We stayed at the Best Western in Oakhurst and were quite disappointed.
Our room was quite outdated and greeted us with a strong, unpleasant smell. It was dark and has a gloomy, depressing feel.
Access to the room was another issue — we had to carry heavy luggage down and back up several steep stairs, which was exhausting and inconvenient.
The rooms are also very noisy. The walls are thin, and we could hear every step (and more) from the guests above us. Privacy and quiet were hard to come by.
Cleanliness was another concern. While the room wasn’t outright dirty, it certainly wasn’t clean either. Housekeeping seemed limited to taking out the trash and replacing towels — nothing more. That was honestly quite shocking.
Breakfast was okay, and the staff there were sweet and hardworking, which was the one bright spot.
Unfortunately, I rather would recommend looking into one of the newer hotels in Oakhurst. This one is not a good choice.
