Location was central which was amazing. We asked for a double bed and we received twin beds, that were put together but were sliding apart easily. The blankets were short, even for the height of 175cm and shower was adequate. Our room was located close to the dining area so in the morning we could hear everything that was happening there. Staff, however, were helpful whenever we needed any assistance.

The hotel is quite centrally located. The cleaning was good. The breakfast was also good. Unfortunately, the first night there was a very bad sewage smell in the bathroom, which we had to point out in the reveption. Poor insulation in the room, could hear neighbors talking and watching TV. Our TV was broken, and was not fixed. Bedding smelled strongly of fabric softener.

Excellent Basic Hotel
This is a very good, basic hotel: spotlessly clean (the room was cleaned daily), quiet, a bigger room and bathroom than expected, adequate breakfast, very good brewed coffee, in a very good, safe, quiet location close to the VAL terminus, Ubahn, tram lines, and walking distance to St Stephen's and other sites. The staff is helpful if you need anything and polite. There are 3 grocery stores less than 5 minutes away which was very convenient (though no refrigerator in the room). I highly recommend Dan's and will stay there during my next trip to Vienna.
