The resort is clean and well maintained. It is a great family friendly place. We had stayed at this resort 20 years ago, so I was quite surprised by the lack of air conditioning. Also, our room was smaller than I remember the rooms we stayed in so long ago.
Big bear is cool probably 9 months out of the year, but if you go in the summer, it can be quite hot. One of the 3 days we were there, it was 69 degrees in Big Bear, but it was 77 degrees in our room. Fans don't cut it. I wanted to stay another day in Big Bear, but with the weather heating up outside, I could not have tolerated the heat in the room.
I'd recommend WorldMark Big Bear for visiting in the early fall or late spring when it is cooler rather than sweating it out in the summer months inside your room.
Also, even though the nights cooled way down outside, as soon as the windows were closed, it was hot again inside the room.
