I had booked a single room. The room was very small and cramped and odd, what was not bad in principle. But the furniture was old, the Cabinet was not just on the wall, you could move hardly between bed and desk, the carpet was old and stained, the walls were visible cracks. Single comfort: a large sink. Thank goodness, because the sink in the tiny bathroom in the corridor and for 3 parties responsible was also tiny.
No fridge in the room, as specified.
The beautiful back garden by the photos on the Web, I haven't seen, just a very ugly building site. I was referred for a breakfast at a cafe in the next Street.
By the way, this is the first negative recession I've ever written
The hotel itself was really very central although you could not see this. You had to familiarize first walk with the area, to find the short ways to the beach. The area around the hotel was quite unkempt. Quite a few of the terrace houses in this street were literally run down. Very much garbage was around. This was quite different in other areas of Hastings.
