We arrived at 1:30pm and were told that check-in wasn't until 3pm, which we understood. I explained we needed to be somewhere and wasn't sure what time we would return and asked if we could have the room key. Again, we were told we couldn't have the key. I asked if they were really that busy (only 5 cars on the lot) and Marilyn became irritated and said they had a full hotel for one month up until that morning, so the rooms were not ready. We left and I explained that were didn't know what time we would be checking in. We were about 1 hour away when I received a call at 5:50pm to inform they were closing at 6pm. They left our room key in a lockbox. Travelocity info states the check-in is until 8pm. We got to our room and there was hardly any toilet paper. We were only able to communicate with the front desk through text and we received an automatic response that they were closed. We received a text at 9:25am the next day saying that if "there wasn't an extra roll there already" they would have it delivered to our room shortly. At that point in time, we were already at Ocotillo Wells. We arrived back at 11:30am, had to call the front desk, tell them we still didn't have toilet paper. Ivy, explained she had texted earlier and thought we had left the hotel then asked if we still needed the toilet paper. Gah! The room hadn't been cleaned, which I'm guessing, we had to request ahead of time, but were never informed to do so.
