When we arrived at Sandcastle Resort in the evening, we couldn’t see the property well as it was dark. However, in the morning when i opened the curtains, I realized we hadn’t gotten the ocean view room that we booked, instead, we had a view of the parking lot. I spoke with the young woman at the desk and was told she would have to contact the owner and let the owner know the situation and then call us back; she never called back and the owner never called. When we returned to the desk and asked again about our room (no one at the desk answered our calls), we were told the owner didn’t have any ocean view rooms available. I asked it another owner had an ocean view room and what could be done to remedy the situation; I was told there was nothing they could do. On the third day, we asked to have our room cleaned and the housekeeper (who was lovely) said she never received the message so the room wasn’t cleaned. The bottom line is: customer service was lacking, we didn’t get what we paid for and the cleanliness of the premises was less than desired so Expedia found another property for us. It was not the way we wanted to begin our stay in Jamaica. I would not stay at Sandcastle Resort in the future and I would not recommend It.
