When I checked in I had to pay the local fees on top of the amount I paid for the room, which os standard. Except their credit card machine wasn’t working and they had no change. I didn’t have huge bills, and paid cash with the next bill up from what was owed. They said they’d have change for me later that night. I also paid a deposit for a towel and was told I would get it back when I returned the towel. Every time I went to the front desk after check-in no one was there, nor was there any staff anywhere in the building the rest of the night or next morning. I finally I had leave in the morning to go to the airport but never got my change or deposit back. And the included breakfast? No one was there to set that up either, and I left well after it was supposed to start.
Other guests arrived around 5am and rang the front doorbell for over an hour because there was no staff to let them in. I considered going downstairs to open the door, but since none of the rooms had locks on them I didn’t feel comfortable opening the door to people I didn’t know and couldn’t vet.
For the price I ended up paying I easily could have stayed at a very hotel with included towels, private room and bathroom, breakfast, locks on the doors, and no noise. Completely terrible.
