We booked and paid to stay at Somewhere for three nights between Christmas and New Year which looked like a lovely location and had great reviews. We then found that we needed to change our booking slightly to fit in with the COVID restrictions. I contacted them using every social media platform and called them however there was no reply, even up to the day we were due to check in which caused us some anxiety and frustration. We finally heard from them once we had contacted Expedia, that they were closed, and they are in the process of organising our refund.
I think ideally better communication in the future would have given us more piece of mind, especially if we had turned up to the hotel and it had been closed. It was ridiculous that now where online said it was closed before we booked. We are still waiting for our refund.
