This 4star priced Hilton hotel has the facilities and service of a bad hostel.
For work I travel a lot, about 30% of my time I live in 4star hotels.
During my holidays I am a backpacker and stay in dormitories and hostels all the time.
Hence, I know the difference and know what to expect in both types of accommodation. You get what you pay for, right?
My girl is doing a gap year, and we haven't seen each other for four months so we decided to stay in a decent hotel our first night so we have some privacy and nothing to worry about.
Upon arrival we were welcomed very warmly. The guys behind the reception are marvellous. It has to be said. Keep up the good work!
The room was clean, had toilet paper, towels, toileteries etc. The basics were there.
My girl brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday so we need ice, lets do room service! But wait there is no menu, nor an indication how to contact room service, or reception,..
There is 2 phones in the room, the phones have buttons: reception, room service, housekeeping,...
Phone 1 does not work at all.
Phone 2 was unplugged and was a portable with a dead battery, so we plugged it in and called room service via speaker.
