Hotel is located on edge of town, but according to google, 6 minute walk to bridge. We had a large suite on top floor on corner, with balconies on both sides. Great views. Restaurant food is quite good. Room is comfortable and well lit. Parking on hotel property in front - safe and convenient. I would consider this a 5* physical facility.
BUT I would never stay here again and I would warn anyone else against doing so. Some of the staff staff here are consistently the worst I have ever experienced.
The girl who checked us in was unfriendly, unhelpful, did the absolute minimum, hated answering questions (and did so badly) and was basically useless. (And then she apparently complained to colleagues that my wife was asking questions and expecting answers.) The "muscle" (a large beefy guy who did physical stuff like helping with our luggage, driving the hotel car and adjusting the patio umbrellas) tried to scam my wife with some shady scheme to buy cherries from his buddy. When we asked for more toilet paper, the maid came by, left us 2 rolls (and took the unfinished one!) and some fresh towels, and never came back to clean the room, even though I left a "clean this room" tag on the door. We requested a 2'nd room card, which every other hotel gives us -
generally they see how many people are checking in and give us that number of cards. The girl at the desk said that she couldn't do it and to ask in the morning. I asked in the morning and was initially refused. ...
