The hotel’s location is excellent. The bell hop’s service and showmanship was extraordinary: as soon as I got checked in, he presented me with gifts (water, juice, soft drinks, some small pastries and slippers) and said, “Here are your gifts, and now your hands are full, so I will take your bags.” *Chef’s kiss.* I also quite enjoyed the hotel breakfast and efficient checkin/checkout.
The actual room was pretty good, but less exciting than the other features I mentioned. There was a large shower space and a large water closet, but not a standalone bathroom, and the furnishings were geared towards efficiency. Apparently, Coco-Mat also sells mattresses, so I was surprised to find that the bed was OK, but far from the best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. The one real negative (and it’s trivial) is that being on a lower floor, I didn’t have a particularly nice view, and I could occasionally hear street noise.
