First of all don’t get fooled by the name hotel, this a hostal in a particular house. We were sharing the kitchen and the breakfast table with more guests and the house dog. The breakfast is cooked every morning by one of the ladies that lives in the house, both ladies they try to have a good face but they are both back-talkers, making comments like how “strange”my wife was just because she didn’t like the papaya shake she made for breakfast for the third day in a row or that she wasn’t very social because she didn’t speak the language and don’t forget the rude comments about eastern Europeans like my wife, I didn’t appreciate that. The internet was something of a hit or miss, the hotspot coming from a cellphone had to be reloaded with new credit that we had to pay extra, when they forgot to do it we had no internet service, when its credit ran out they made us feel guilty because “we use too much internet“. The first day we realized there was no soap in the bathroom, their answer was “we ran out“. I know things are bad in Cuba but seriously, I didn’t come to Havana to share on their misery, I thought I was paying for a room with breakfast included I didn’t pay to be treated like a freeloader.
This is the most judgmental hotel staff I've encounter, we had an eleven nights reservation, after the sixth night we couldn't take it anymore, we checked out. They really ruined our vacation. Not going back.
