We thought this was the cheapest acceptable option in kona, but we were wrong, it is not an acceptable option.
Day 1: We arrive at 3pm which is check-in time according to Expedia --> I'm sorryyyyy, your room is not ready yet, maybe in an hour.
Day 2: Our room is not cleaned. --> I'm sorryyyy, we have 40 rooms to clean every day, we'll take care of yours tomorrow.
Day 3: Our room is not cleaned again. --> I'm sorryyyy, we have some new cleaning staff, there are lots of problems, you cannot imagine how many complaints we get every day.
Day 4: Upon checking out we suggest a little refund for never cleaning our room. --> I'm sorryyyy, if you had booked directly through our homepage I could easily give you a refund, but as you booked via Expedia, this is not possible. Our manager is not here right now, but she will be back in two days and contact you.
Of course we never heard from her.
