I did my reservation through Expedia. At check-in the receptionist forgot to take the deposit. I thought that it was made automatically when I did my reservation online. I then decided to have my breakfast. A lady asked about my room number. Everything was fine so far, until I signed the check. The waiter told me that I didn’t have any credit at the hotel. I wasn’t sure about what was happening. I told him that I already checked in. He looked at me and went to talk to his superior. Since that moment all the staff was looking at me as if I did something wrong. All eyes were on me as if I was about to escape, and for what? A plain breakfast of less than 30 USD.! At the moment I was leaving, the same lady who asked about my room number, took the phone and called one of the waiters. He immediately came running after me. He said Mum something is wrong, and that I should follow him to the reception. I never felt so humiliated in my life. I went to the reception and the receptionist apologized and asked for my credit card and proceeded with the deposit. The waiter was still standing there as if he was escorting a thief.
Later on I went for a walk inside the hotel and passed by the pool and when I tried to enter the pool, someone from the hotel told me that I have to pay to get inside!!!!. He was so rude that I didn’t even have time to explain that I was a guest.
The management has to review the staff behavior, except for the receptionists who were very nice and helpful.
