Check-In Nightmare
âą I first tried to contact the hotel via WhatsApp on Friday, as the reception is closed on Sundays. I received no reply. I followed up again on Saturdayâstill nothing.
âą Only after contacting Expedia did someone finally respond and provide me with an access code. Even then, I was told to reach out again for further instructions.
âą The receptionist, Martina, was extremely unhelpful. When I finally checked in, I discovered other peopleâs luggage in my room. I tried to get help, but again, no one responded. I had to go through Expedia a second time, who were themselves shocked at the lack of professionalism.
âą Martina advised me to bring the other guests' bags to reception myself. When I refused to touch someone elseâs belongings, she told me, âIâm not your friend and reception doesnât work.â
Room and Facilities
âą The room had no soap or basic amenities.
âą The hotel is located in a very sketchy part of town.
âą Upon check-in, I was charged a tourist tax rate appropriate for a 4-star hotel, despite this property being, at best, a 2-star with 1-star service.
Overall Impression
âą The lack of communication, missing amenities, and dismissive attitude from staff made for a truly terrible experience.
âą I strongly urge the owners to provide proper training to their employees, as the current level of service is unacceptable.
Advice to Future Guests
âą Be prepared for no support from reception, problems with room access, and a lack of basic hospitality.
