The room was too warm. To avoid bugs I kept the window closed, but left the random desk fan by the window running. At 2am the creakiest room I've ever stayed in began ticking and creaking like mad, they'd turned the heating on. It's already hot, why wouldnt you up it a bit further. The room became an unbearable fan assisted oven. With no choice but to open the window, curtains and leave the fan running, it took a suprisingly long time to get back to sleep, despite the comforting sounds of constant arctic trucks on the main road and hourly trains speeding by on railway just outside. At 3am I went down in the hopes I just had a bad room and could move, but of course they were fully booked (despite many rooms still available online), but it doesnt matter because reception assured me every room has the same pipes around the skirting boards that get boiling hot (a colleague staying at the hotel proved otherwise).
Apart from the room being unclean, the coffees not being replaced, the staff lying to avoid serving guests... the bfast was pretty good.
