Week In Amsterdam
Visiting our son in Amsterdam. This was the perfect location as he works directly across the street at the International Theatre of Amsterdam. Formerly a Hard Rock property, there are some ongoing redesign projects but they don’t diminish from the hotels appeal. Leidseplein is a great spot to stay. Lively area but not as busy and noisy as the Central Station and Dam Square locations. Lots of good dining and entertainment options. Walkable to Vondelpark and the Museum Quarter. Tram stops right outside the entrance. We did however take some time getting into our room having requested an early check in. I understand there is no guarantee so I didn’t mark them down as a result. The front desk gave conflicting information on the availability and then advised that maintenance had an issue with the room. Ultimately moved into the room and had no problems with it throughout the stay.
