The place needs to be updated. Great location if you will be hiking in the nearby mountains. Looks like an old resort that sold land to a developer that built really nice houses, but did not update their hotel to match the neighborhood. The TV is at least 30 years old. Service and staff was great.
Perfect location between davis and canaan valley. Great concept. Just a little in need of renovations. This may be in their future, since there was a sale pending sign out front.
Outdated rooms not like pictured on internet 3 people working everything for that kinda price i expect better ...that place is like syaying at a place for 30dollars a night and i paid a hell of a lot more ...wont stay there again
Staff friendly while present. Staff goes home in afternoon and NOBODY on site for assistance. Phone number to call attendant at home if needed. No ice. No microwave or fridge. Ancient tv with 2 channels.
This place is in the middle of nowhere, but isn't bad. The room was definitely very basic and the bed was a little hard, but everything was very clean and the view from the motel porch/deck was very peaceful. The best thing about this was having Amelia's restaurant in the same building. There are not a lot of choices for food around, so Amelia's made a hot breakfast easy and we had spaghetti for dinner one night and it was so big my husband and I split it. Joyce was one of the hardest working people I've seen. She would wait on every table in the restaurant, while getting carry out orders and check people in and out at the front desk. The restaurant and motel had few employees, so she wore a lot of hats, but did everything with ease.
Nice secluded place to say, did have wifi & clean just need some modernizing and a way to deal with the bugs... Maybe a blue light in the room or a way to turn off the deck light to they aren't right by the back door when you go out on the deck.
Very confusing upon arrival...not a car in the lot - the place looked closed. After calling the number and not able to reach anyone, we were about to leave until my GF walked up to the front door and it was OPEN. Key in an envelope on the desk.
Room was large and clean, certainly no frills. Only one coffee pack for the two-cup maker, and NO INTERNET!!! Welcome to 1980, I guess. Views were very nice in the valley.
