Renovation NEEDED ASAP!!!
Years ago this was El Palacio to come back in my hometown and see how run down this places let's me know that whoever now is managing this property could careless. Thank God I booked through a third party for 27 a night because it's not worth more. Could use A LOT of renovation as there are several holes, cracks, terrible decor with the exception of the lobby couch furniture. From the outside looking in this hotel looks abandon. Honestly the condition of the room is old and run down but it was cleaned very nicely with no bad odor. Staff was friendly and no disturbances. Long story short this would always be my last resort if I needed to stay somewhere.

Good from afar, far from good.
On the outside. This place looked good. Inside the rooms. Not good at all. Rooms smelled. Bathroom lights didn’t work until a saw an extension cord coming from under the sink that went under the beds and plug into a wall. This cannot be to code. WIFI never works. TV wasn’t connected to anything, but there was a tv. Microwave didn’t work. The carpet had mold around all the corners and the carpet also. The bed sheets had stains, and we had to go to the front desk for towels. We didn’t have any. We called front desk about bathroom lights and plugs not working and they said we will “try” to get someone to fix them. After five hours I found the illegal extension cord.

DO NOT GO HERE. WORST HOTEL EVER.
DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I was literally afraid for my life and the life of my kid. I will NEVER forgive myself for not doing due diligence research on this hellhole and bringing my kid here. I was trying to get a last minute room for the Taylor Swift concert in Miami, and the $260 I paid (which ended up being more, they charged $30 to check in early?!) was such a scam. I wouldn't stay in this place again if it was free and they paid ME. It's dirty, it's rundown, there was a live cockroach running down the hall in broad daylight...it was terrible. Honestly I think it's a haven for illegal activities and I just prayed no one would break into our door (which didn't have a locking mechanism from the inside.) If I could rate it zero stars, I would.

It was horrible. To think this “hotel” is still operating is ridiculous.

This place should be shut down.
No idea how this place is allowed to stay in business. Mold everywhere, dried stains that have clearly never been attempted to be cleaned out of the carpets, dirty walls, a plant growing out of the wall, our ceiling kept crumbling off and there was a pile of wall pieces that were never vacuumed. This place is a health hazard. Our first room was a nightmare so we asked if we could switch to a clean room, which wasn’t much better. Please, don’t waste your money here, you’ll leave congested from what I’m assuming is from all of the mold.

Avoid - bring bleach & bedding if you can’t avoid
This was hands down the most disgusting hotel I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. Very run down and unclean. The only elevator that works reeks of urine. We did not remove our shoes in the room as they were sticking to the carpet and there is no way we were letting our bare feet touch that. There was dirt and debris all over the floor as if it had not been actually been cleaned. The king sized bed had two small throw pillows only no actual pillows. Also no comforter or blanket of any sort just the flat sheet not that we would have used it anyway. We went to Walmart and purchased bleach, Lysol, bedding, towels, bed bug spray, etc. just to feel like we were somewhat safe from whatever disease/critter is lurking in those room. Staff is incredibly rude and the place appears to cater to low end drug dealers and sex workers. Bring ear plugs as we could hear the arguments all night even though we were on the fourth floor. We had two nights booked and left after the first night. We would have left sooner but the hotels in the area were full due to an event. Honestly couldn’t get out of there fast enough. If you do stay there bring cleaning supplies and your own towels/bedding (trust me) also be sure to lock your car and park somewhere well lit. I generally don’t fret too much about the areas I stay in as I generally carry concealed, but here…. I had chairs and ironing boards wedged against the door. Didn’t exactly trust the staff if you know what I mean. Good luck.

DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY
It was the worse hotel I have ever been to in my 55 yrs of live. We get there and it is very sketchy and already looks dirty. We get our room key and walk through dirty halls. When we walk into our room live roaches scatter and there are hairballs all over bathroom. Absolutely disgusting, we left immediately and went to a new hotel.

THE HOTEL IS A DISGRACE. THE FLOORS WERE FILKTHY AND GRIMY. CHECK IN TOOK FOREVER. THERE WERE NO TOWELS IN THE ROOM. THERE WRE ALRMS GOING OFF. IT WAS SO BAD I LEFT A 3;15 AM. THE FACT THAT HOTELS.COM OFFERS THIS HOTEL SAYS YOU CANT TRUST THEIR WEB SITE. I PICKED THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS THE CLOSEST HOTEL TO THE TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT. I THOUGHT IF IT WERE ON HOTEL.COM THAT IT WAS CERTIFIED AS DECENT. WAS I WRONG. A TOTAL DISGRACE.

Close to stadium but nothing else good about it
The 2nd sketchiest hotel I've ever stayed at. The elevator either doesn't work or feels like it's going to break, reception is behind glass, it's $50 to check-in early, there's nowhere nearby to eat, there are puddles in the hallway .. it's SO sketchy. But it was a 10 minute ride from the Miami stadium, so we did it.

Never again
Had a horrible experience from start to finish. Lady at the desk had a. Attitude because they had to find her to check me in. Nothing looked like the photos. The carpet was filthy. Furniture old and run down. Windows dirty. Tub dirty. Had to login to my accounts just to watch tv. Didn’t even have wash clothes in the room. No ice machine. No vending machines. Leaky roof in the hall. One of the elevators didn’t work. Very disappointed. I couldn’t afford to cancel the reservation and stay somewhere else so I had to deal with it but I’m very disappointed

Nightmare at Miami Gardens Inn & Suites
Unacceptable hotel experience. There was cockroaches in the bathroom, the room smelled terrible and a random woman off the street was banging on my door early in the morning, stating she had stayed in my room before me and wanted to search my room for her missing belongings. I told her to speak with the front desk. She did not speak with the front desk, instead she came back with a maintenance person who said the same thing she did. She then proceeded to search my apartment, and didn't find what she was looking for and left. . After speaking with the front desk during checkout and asking for a refund, they told me to call the service I used to book the hotel room. I did, and they contacted this hotel and still refused to give a refund because it was a "non-refundable" booking. . Who would have thought they put human safety lower on their priorities than their profit. Disgusting and I should sue!
