After arriving at the hotel in the morning, too early for check-in, we waited in the lobby. The room would be ready at 15.00hours. But was only ready 16.30.
We requested a smoke free room, but you could smell the smoke through the cleaning spray they had convenienvtly oversprayed. After coming back to the room, you could not ignore the stench. We found hair in the bed, a lot of dust on the hairdryer and in the bathroom, (toe?)nail in the bed and hallway light could not be turned on.
We requested a new room, as when you wake up the first thing that comes to mind is the smell of smoke. The request was done in the night and the two receptionists told us that the cleaning lady would spray the room and that they would give us a new room in the morning, as the rooms were fully booked that day.
The next day the following receptionist informed us that the previous receptionists did not make a note that we could get a new room, but that there was a note from the cleaning lady that she could not smell any smoke..
It was quite rude, as it seemed that she assumed that we were lying.
We eventually received the new room. The keys were given to us after we had returned from a day at the beach by the same receptionists that did not make any note. The room we were in was 201, but the key opened the doors of room 210 of other guests. When we kindly explained the situation we received a snarky attitude of the same receptionist.
Aside from the staff, good hotel.
