One thing ruined this stay. Just one, and it's a Massive issue. The hotel is simply too noisy at night. Not from any bar or outside, but from ancient plumbing and vents, elevator shaft noises etc. I can sleep through a hurricane, but my room on the first floor overlooking the rear of the premise was like being trapped in a tumble dryer all night , as every 30 seconds what sounded like a generator (I later found out was a ventilation system) went off, creating an incesent humming noise making it impossible to sleep. I eventually spoke to reception who in fairness switched our room at 2am, only for the noise to still be there, but this time with an added elevator pulley system making a noise like a jackhammer every few mins. Simply put, the rooms are not soundproofed, and for a supposed 4 star hotel it is simply not good enough. I would have gotten more sleep lying in the doorway outside frankly, and since we were only there for 1 night away, it kinda ruined a nice trip as we were but exhausted next day.
