The appartement/room we rented was dirty (we didn't want to sit on the couch), rundown (the toilet seat was loose and fell off the toilet, to just say one of many things), completely different than pictured, but most of all, very unsafe. We had the 'Shinning' room, but it was more like the movie The Shining.
Apart from the appalling state of the room, the safety issue was really scary. The Mezzanine, where one of the beds is, is only one meter high (at it's highest point), there's only a very tiny hole to another room, but like the receptionist said himself, only children can fit through it. In other words, if fire was to break out in the kitchen or downstairs area, there is no escape. Very dangerous. I know Parisian apartments are small but this is just illegal. The 'bedroom' had to be accessed through the main stairs, on another floor, effectively disconnecting it from the rest of the apartment. If you wanted to go to the toilet, you had to go outside and enter the apartment again on another floor.
But our complaints weren't taken serious at all.
Also, during our stay this weekend, we noticed somebody had been in the room. But nothing was cleaned. We did miss a gold bracelet though. Can't proof it was stolen. But it seems like a logical explanation...
