We requested a refund and left to find a decent hotel. This place had exterior maintenance issues before going inside, but was willing to look past the exposed ACs and hanging parts, uneven paths, etc.

Parked in under hotel parking. Elevator never came. Went back to surface entry, saw sign on elevator ’out of service’. Down poorly lit, dark and smelly corridor to room. At scratched and dented door, used card to enter. First mildew smell blew me away, then I saw the filthy mattress covers that one day were white, now stained gray and yellow. The mattresses were so old, all four corners curled upward creating a bowl for guest to crawl into. The carpet was a special kind of gross. I refused to touch anything in the filthy stinky room. We turned around to leave it as we found it, ran into the front desk clerk who asked if everything was okay with the room., I asked for a refund, explained we had some concerns with the hotel and that we would like to head closer to our destination to find lodging. Refund granted. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on Regal instead. $50 less and 1000% better hotel.
