I had booked this hotel for one night on 13th Feb 2020. We had come to Nallathaniya only to climb the Adam's Peak. We were to arrive in the evening, stretch out a bit, spend the night climbing Adam's peak and check out after breakfast.
As we were to spend just a few hours at the hotel, all that we expected was a decent room with a clean functional bathroom. Alas! we were in for a huge disappointment.
The room allotted to us was a tiny hole in the wall kind of room with just two beds,no chair or desk and no windows. One had to keep the main door open for ventilation. There was one wall fan which operated at single speed and did not oscillate. The list of amenities shown in the room description is wrong and fallacious. Please do not fall for it. A single small piece of soap passed for "free toiletries."
The bathroom had NO MIRROR. the faucets were leaky leaving the floor wet all the time. There was no foot mat/Bath mat either, resulting in the whole room becoming dirty on coming out of the bathroom.
The " free bottled water " was provided only on demand and apprising the management that it was part of the package.
To top it all, the lady at the reception was downright rude and haughty.
One lesson learnt from this experience is that the information given on Hotels.com is not always correct and there seems no accountability of the concerned hotel in case the client is denied the promised amenities
The breakfast was just adequate and simple.
Hotel is in perfect location for the hike. Also they have a pool which looked wonderful.
Staff is super friendly and will help woth anything you need, food was good.
The room is a room, nothing special.
If you do stay try and stay on the pool side and it is on the main road and super noisy on the street side.
Definitely recommend this place.
Really helpful and incredibly friendly staff. Maybe a little more than 10 minutes from the start of Adamâs peak but itâs wonderfully accessible. Food is yummy. View is gorgeous. My only complaint is that I had an incredibly cold shower, it did wake me up though âš
Mycket luktar i Sri Lanka pga fukten.
