The best word to describe my experience is AKWARD. While the staff (front desk, bellman, restaturant, etc.) were quite good - well trained and responsive - they were the only highlight. I arrived early and was able to pre-check in and drop my bags. I did ask that my bags be dropped in my room - which they were - literally. The room was a series of disappointments. I had a "Junior Suite" and it did not match the description of expectations per photos. No balcony, patio or fireplace. VERY odd placement of furniture - an armoire and dresser in the entry hall - terribly inconvenient. Armoire filled with a mini-fridge and safe). The worst was the bathroom. The navigation into the water closet required opening the BR door, closing the door, opening the WC door - all in a very compact space. Very bad for middle-of-the night visits. The bed was comfortable - but other appointments (drapes, blinds, rug, chaise) were shabby and not particularly clean (esp. the rug). The lighting was terrible, and the furniture placement poor. The HVAC was either too warm or too cold despite temp setting. I was only there for 2 nights and got into my room later in the evening and did not want to deal with the time and hassle of a room change. I did speak with the manger at checkout - but she never confirmed that I had actually been put in a Jr. Suite - though she did adjust for dining charges - no rate reduction - which there should have been. I will never stay at this property again.
