Nice hotel but should be nice if offering coffee in the morning in front office. Had to go outside. The bar was closed and did not wanted to go at the restaurant for breakfast. Did not had mini bar also to keep or beverages cold in the room .
The major issue was we booked a Deluxe Room, Queen Bed primarily because it was an air-conditioned room â this was a deciding factor in booking the hotel as opposed to alternatives in the area.
When checking in we were informed we had been upgraded to a King Bed room and dropped off our bag before heading out for the evening.
On returning to our room however we discovered that it had a fan, but no air-conditioning â by this point it was quite late in the evening already so we made do, but we were very disappointed that having spent over ÂŁ200 for an air-conditioned room we didnât have this.
Additionally, we noted the following other issues in the room:
- Backlight on TV broken on lower half of the display giving a very dark image
- Bathroom door lock broken
- Cramped bathroom layout â the shower particularly was hard to get in and out of. Iâve seen better bathrooms in rooms costing less than ÂŁ50 a night.
We raised these issues on checking out and were given the managers email address. Thus far over a week later we have received no reply.
Was there for my sons graduation and stayed for two nights . Hotel , staff all fine except and mightâve been my fault was the size of the rooms . Iâm 6-3 and had to crawl from the foot of the bed to get into it and luggage had to be placed under the dressing table. But in general a good stay and I would stay again
Had a lovely stay at The Bristol in Bristol city centre .Lovely hotel in walking distance to city centre & docks area .
Lots of bars & restaurants to explore.
Very good properly run hotel - front desk staff who are friendly and helpful and know their stuff. Lovely architecture - if you like the sixties. Big comfortable room - no air-conditioning so got a bit hot but 5 stars other than that.
