The Oliver Inn is such a cool little place. Itâs a destination of its own. The whole building is decorated in such a style, you forget youâre not on a history tour. The location is great; parking is tricky, but not unbearable.
If we ever wander back to Duluth, this is where we will be staying!
We couldnât get into the ramp to park so we parked on the street and paid there. then when we could get into the ramp there was another fee. Scetchy area. once we got to our room it was clean and comfortable
Perfect stay for one night in Duluth. Very well done, keep the charm of the âoldâ while providing new and updated touches. Itâs a little noisy due to the location but over all a wonderful stay. Very clean!
We really enjoyed staying here! Such a cool, cozy place. We do recommend bringing a portable fan if staying in the summer, as it can get a little warm (not horrible though). The beds were very comfortable! We definitely recommend!
Started with a reservation snafu, that was quickly sorted by staff via email and text. This is a self check-in hotel that worked smoothly. The room was recently renovated with an enormous bed, clean bathroom and included a mini fridge and coffeemaker. Everything worked as expected. The location is downtown convenient to the Duluth Coffee Company, shopping and the waterfront. WE didn't have the opportunity to visit Sniveleys Lounge in the hotel or the Rathskeller Bar in the basement. Maybe next time!
Was super confusing for check in because no front desk or staff. If there was some sort of information or instructions when we walked in it would have been helpful. The ONLY complaint we had was what to do when we needed more toilet paper.
I love the Oliver inn, very clean room. Megan with housekeeping was very friendly and very accommodating. We do not care for the coffee makers at all, coffee is terrible and machine is strange to use.
I would recommend Oliver inn, and can wait for the remodel to be done, love the new paint on entry and the wall paper in Lounge.
Very unique hotel in a historic building. Any questions or needs were handled by Megan, Lindsey and other available staff. I look forward to staying again and seeing renovations in progress. Great location especially if you like to gamble!
Really cool set up. Inconvenient with the shared restroom that requires code entry. However it was the cheapest place I found in Duluth while being super convenient in the DT area. Cheap parking ramp across the street. I had my son so couldnât experience but noticed the downstairs pub with live music, really cool impression. Only issue I had was 1 associate in customer service was super incompetent. First call I did was to verify my reservation and he couldnât understand I didnât want to make a reservation. Second time I assume same guy I inquired and reiterated I wasnât canceling but wanted to be educated on the canceling process. He still attempted to cancel my reservation and thank god a different associate contacted me who could actually understand English, so the process was stopped. Just super annoying. Place is totally worth it and the manager and this other associate had awesome customer service.
Beautiful room with amazing lake view. Property is under construction, but I can imagine it'll be wonderful when done! Responsive staff. Convenient location in downtown Duluth.
The hotel was under construction which we found out about the day before. It got to be loud around 7am with them starting work which was not fun!
The hotel otherwise was cute and very clean. We had issues finding our room and they were very quick and responsive on getting back to us. They had a few snacks and easy instructions on getting inside.
The hotel is across from a casino and packing garage. It is convient to park there, however there are a lot of homeless people out asking for money ask you are going back and forth to your car. The parking garage is locked with a code you get when you pay though, which was nice.
Liked this business concept. But the remodel makes "Everything" outside the room is chaos. Bar is closed on Sunday and Monday. Neither mentioned on Expedia when making reservation. Wonderfully unique room. Great room amenities; fireplace, dimmable chandelier, massage shower. But no chair? Or stool near bkfst bar. Beds are super comfy! Nice break from the busy city right outside the door. Thanks!
