A beautiful and peaceful weekend in a comfortable and scenic place. Dan and Sean were wonderful. The entire staff was friendly and willing to help. The lodge is within easy walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. We will be back.
Absolutely magical stay!
This Lodge was so beautiful. We loved the Memory Suiteâ the cozy fireplace and incredibly comfortable bed made it feel like a home away from home. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive to all our needs. One of the highlights was relaxing in the jacuzzi under the night skyâpure bliss. Highly recommend for a peaceful escape!
My wife and I took the two and half hour drive up from San Diego, before we even hit the road, Sean from the Lodge called to let us know early check in was available, when we got there it was so cozy, a rustic view with luxurious rooms and sitting areas including a fireplace and piano, Daniel, the manager was super friendly. Everyone who worked there was kind and offered great suggestions for Hikes and Dining. We spent three nights just lounging around, reading and star gazing after hiking and eating our way through the town. The hot tub, sauna, and gym were a nice surprise. Highly recommend to all who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of either LA or San Diego for the weekend.
We stayed in the Ambiance room.room was nice and linens were excellent. I'm glad all rooms used glassware and no plastic. Not having 24 hr front desk attendance was annoying and no phones in room was very different too much monetary didtance from Thurs to Fri night with no added value. Very expensive.
Our stay at the Grand Idyllwild Lodge was absolutely amazing! The room exceeded our expectations. Daniel was very accommodating and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely be going back as our stay was very magical.
It is a beautiful old property. Unfortunately the elevater is broken and there is no sign of them working to fix it. It takes all of my wife's strength to do steps.
The room called Tranquility was beautiful except for a leaky shower that you cold hear draining all the time.
Fireplace did not work. Cold shower on last day. Breakfast could be better. Property could use some maintenance. Would not stay here again. Our room was called Serenity and should of been called Crickity as all footsteps above were heard.
Service was excellent; weekend breakfast french toast was frozen; WIFI in "The Retreat" was "fair" -- not good enough to stream; WiFi in "The Viilla" was excellent. Elevator broken so if you're on the 3rd floor and you have a lot of luggage, it's a problem.
This property is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We stayed in serenity room. The only negative thing i would say is we heard everyone above us walking pretty loud. Would definitely stay here again. I would just choose upstairs room. The room cleanliness was great. Really clean and very stylish rooms. Suoer cute.
A group of girlfriends got together to celebrate 2 birthdays! We were so impressed with how beautiful the Villa we stayed in was!! Plenty of space and room for the 4 of us. The master was huge!! The bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet. We cozied up in the living room with the fireplace every night. Had coffee on our own private patio w a Firepit and table to eat at or play games. The Mountain View was spectacular! Loved having the small kitchen area which was fully furnished. Judy, the manager or owner as I never asked went above and beyond even prior to our arrival. She sent pictures of where to park and exactly what the kitchen was stocked with. Toaster, coffee machine, glasses etc. She gave us a first hand guided tour of the Lodge and our 3 bedroom Villa. Staff was amazingly friendly. Highly recommended this great getaway!
We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon. I'll start with the good: the staff was very nice and welcoming. The room was comfortable. The property was in a great location and offered lots of amenities. Now for the not so good: The rooms are NOT SOUNDPROOF. We could hear our neighbors so clearly they may as well have been in the room with us. It's hard to relax and enjoy quality time on your honeymoon when you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. Next, the continental breakfast, nothing kills your appetite like moldy cream cheese. I don't know how the staff didn't see it when they put it out. I tried to find someone to let them know, but no staff members were out and about during breakfast.
Beautiful property but our very small room had no windows
Had to go out to see the trees
Would stay again but not in that room
Also glass on door didnât have blackout shades and way too much light from outside lighting. Hard to sleep
