We arrived at Odin on 21 Dec. The lobby looks renovated but had TVs, tools, debris and construction materials all over the place. As we got off the lift, the hallway had construction materials strewn all over the floor with broken frame beds, broken nightstands and broken A/Cs. The first room, the safe was broken, it didn’t have a shower head, the door to the balcony would not lock, & there were clearly missing pieces of furniture in the room. We asked for another room and had the same issues as the first. Although the 2 ladies in the lobby were nice, they barely spoke English. We asked for another room and the same issues. My husband and I were so scared for our safety. Anyone can enter the room through the balcony and since the safe is broken, all our valuables can easily be stolen. The staff in front called the owner but the owner didn't speak a word of English. The staff called a tech to replace the lock on the balcony doors and replace the safe. The technician finally arrived & replaced the locks on the balcony door and replaced the safe. We decided to stay at the fourth, last room. On the 2nd day, we were about to head out to the beach. When asked the distance she said it's 2.5 km/1.5 miles. That's not a 12-min walk as advertised on their site, false advertising. Then she asked for payment. I informed her that hotels.com already has my card on file. Only to be told that Odin doesn't accept credit cards, only cash. They should include this important policy on their site.
