Overall the experience was fine. You must request a fridge ahead of time. Although the reception individuals were very helpful in getting me one. The area has a lot of homeless and the the front of hotel is very dark. Parking is a chore unless you park in a facility. Charles Street garage seems to be the cheapest. 20 min walk from harbor.
Well the front desk is rude. They will not check you in a minute early. There's a $150.00 hold on your card. Out front is a fountain that the homeless use to clean up in. Also no free breakfast. Staff didn't know WiFi password. So if you really don't care about the room this is the place for you. If you are looking for comfortability this is not the place. The decent part is that you can walk to the harbor.
When we got there it was locked and told us to go to Baltimore Plaza hotel. We requested a new room due to mutiple issues including dirty linens, broken mirror, mold around tub, marijuana in the sheets just to name a few. The new room wasn't much better. Also very disappointed that we did not get advance notice to the $150 deposit. Will never stay there again!
The actual Envy hotel was closed and guests had to stay at an adjacent building where the staff was rude and there was a $150 holding fee that wasn't mentioned. I do not recommend anyway stay here.
I would never recommend or stay here again, as a veteran in the hotel business this is the worst.
-There is a $100 deposit that is no where mentioned or listed prior to arriving and if you didnât know itâs oh well and if you donât have it you wonât be checked it at all even if you traveled 3hrs from home.
-itâs been two days and I still havenât received my $100 deposit back
-rooms smell weird like they havenât been properly cleaned and sanitized
-my neighbors smoked and we donât but had to smell their smoke all night
-rooms use A/C from the 90s that are loud and takes a while to cool but they get the job done especially after a hot humid and muggy wait in the lobby
-My goal now is to have my company purchase this hotel close is it down re model and restaff as soon as possible
-we staff mostly migrants from Russia Asia Europeans and Latins who are only here for 6 months but treat the job and guests as if this is their lifetime permanent career
They had one person doing cleaning of rooms, the AC didn't work and they had no WiFi except in the lobby so I ended up staying elsewhere and eating the cost of the room.
Never ever again would I consider staying there
This place was terrible! First off it was NOT what we signed up for on the site! We registered for Hotel Envy, when we arrived there was a sign on the door to go around to the Baltimore Plaza Hotel! Hotel Envy Does Not Exist anymore! It was not very clean we had hairs in our towels and had to get new ones. They had no wifi as advertised. We stayed on the 4th floor we asked the front desk for the wifi he told us that it may not work on our floor, but what he gave us we couldn't even find listed as available! There was no fridge to keep anything cold so our food went to waste, they had no ice buckets when we asked so we had to use a plastic bag to keep drinks cold! This place was the pits we could not wait to get out of there. Also there were a bunch of men hanging out in front off to the side.
