When checking in we found out we weren't booked in for breakfast I'm not sure how that happened as we only looked at breakfast included. The breakfast was £9 each extra and was was a bit disappointing. Despite ordering for a specific time and arriving just before it had been cooked and kept warm.
However the main issue was the smell of drains in the ensuite (room 103), which the receptionist said was nothing she'd be worried about. I wasn't worried just wasn't that pleasant but the hotel was full so no other rooms available, but they didn't seem to care or even offer any solution such as air freshener. We had some fortunately and the smell was gone the following morning.
Overall the room was well presented and the bed comfortable and curtains were heavy enough to keep the room dark enough. The hotel is in a nice rural setting and the groundz are nice
