When I arrived at the hotel in the evening, the check-in counter staff could not locate my Hotels.com booking and payment record. I showed the confirmation emails from Hotel.com, but they refused to accept them. As a result, I was made to pay a deposit. The staff finally located my record the following day when I was about to check out.
