My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights over President's Day weekend. The check-in process was easy and the communication was fast. The room was very small, but to be expected for NYC. It was clean and nice to have a small kitchen space. It was in a great area with lots of bars and restaurants in a walkable distance. The only two complaints I would have are as follows:
1- the hotel is located on a fairly busy intersection, so it is very loud. There was city noise going on all night (horns, sirens, trucks, young people partying, etc.) It was a nice touch that ear plugs were included in the room, but it was still very loud. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the hotel for you!
2- it rained/snowed the second night and the ceiling/brick wall had some sort of brown liquid leaking down the wall. This got all over some of the clothes in my suitcase, which was pushed up against the wall. Sadly, I did not notice this until morning when we were packing up to leave.
Overall, this was a fine experience and if you are looking for a small, convenient space in East Village, this is a good option.
