There's not much to do at the hotel as the restaurant has ceased operation. The bed is comfortable but mosquitoes do somehow get into the room. Unfortunately, during my stay, there was rubbish burning near the hotel area. This caused the smoke to envelop the hotel and enter all rooms. Needless to say, that spoiled the stay. Not sure whether that is a recurring problem in the area or a one off issue.
Spent only the last night in Myanmar there before going back to Europe. Have choosen this hotel cause it's near by the airport (15 min. by car). I checked in quite late, but there was like a bar or a place to sit down and have a drink. Only a frig with some cans of beer ant antialcoholics. Had to ask for a glass....
Breakfast was terrible. Nobody asked my what I would like to have too, because nobody in the morning has spoken English. So I got 2 slices of toast, a little bit of butter and something red and one fried egg. Green tea was not possible, instead hot water and nescafe. My attempt to get 2 more slices of toast was without results, because the boy didn't understand me at all.
So "Ruby garden" is only a good choice if you are not interested in eating or drinking ;-)
Billigt hotell med gÄngavstÄnd till shopping, restauranger och sevÀrdheter. Super trevlig personal. Enda minus var att vÄr AC lÀt som en grÀsklippare ibland.
No hot shower for my entire stay! Staff speaks very little English. But the facility was newly remodeled and room is spacious. However TV has less than 6 or 7 channels and no English news channel unfortunately
