We went to our room and were immediately disappointed. We were on the ground level in a room that faced a courtyard surrounded by buildings on one side, and a covered balcony overlooking the parking lot on the other side—so it was very dark and cave-like. Next we noticed loads of stains on the sofa and chair which just kind of grossed us out. I responded to a text we received asking how our room was and said that I thought we had paid for an upgraded room. They were great and moved us to a room in the hillside with a spanning view. The room layout was better, but still, just like the other room you walk straight into one of the beds as it blocks the doorway into the room. That was really annoying. The issue with this room was that there was hair EVERYWHERE. It was like the guest before us was cutting hair in the room! Hair on the beds, in the sink, all over the shower walls... ick!! We didn't want to complain again, so I just cleaned it myself.
Now to the grounds... all the walkways and stairs and walls could use a serious power wash and fixing. I know it's a dusty dessert, but they are in desperate need of repair. The pools and pool decks were very clean (though dated) and we enjoyed the ability to order food and drinks at the main pool. For the low price we paid in off season, it was a fair deal, but we wouldn't return. We did not try any restaurants onsite. Also, be prepared to walk far or drive to the main areas unless you're in the main building.
