The hotel room was nice. The hotel in general is a little worn out I would say. The staff friendly, but not so accurate. I booked without breakfast, but arranged at the reception that I could take breakfast. At the entrance of the breakfast the next day, obviously this was not arranged, but the staff said they would arrange it at the reception. So I had my breakfast anyway. But, the second day again it was not arranged and the lady at breakfast said she would arrange it at the reception. Now it was obviously arranged since it appeared on my invoice. On checking out I asked the reception if they could give two separate invoices, one for the accommodation and one for the food/drinks. They said that they could send it by email. I received the email, but it was just the same invoice I received in paper. The pool is not the cleanest, but it is ok. In the sauna no one is using a towel to sit on, so one is sitting on wood that has absorbed many liters of sweat I guess. But I have seen that in other places in the UK, so obviously not common to use a towel? I gave a low score on environment. When I entered my room, the heater was up at 23 degrees! At breakfast these conveyor toasters for bread are used. These consume a stunning 2600 Watts CONSTANTLY, even if there is no bread being toasted. They provide enough heat to heat the whole breakfast room. Which is obviously needed, since most windows are single glased.. Back to 1950.....Obviously there are no high energy prices in the UK.???
