I stayed in Ibis Zürich City West hotel for 3 nights for business in the adjacent technopark building. When you have business there, it doesn't get much closer than this hotel at 150m from the front door. The building houses a Ibis hotel, Ibis budget hotel and a novotel, making it somewhat confusing when you arrive (I actually first walked into the budget hotel). Rooms are clean. Bed was a bit too firm for my taste, but overall slept okay. Bathroom is tidy and like the rest of the hotel has modern and well-maintained appearance. WiFi was free and of decent speed. Sufficiently fast to stream video at night.
I had dinner in the hotel twice and had a proper meal both times. The burgers are very good in my opinion. Breakfast is okay, with a decent assortment of buns, croissants, spreads, yoghurt, etc, but horribly overpriced at 16 euro/day (Zürich is expensive to begin with!!).
Trainstation Hardbrücke is closeby at a 5-8 minute walk and tram 4 stops around the corner. Do not expect to get anywhere by foot though. The area feels quite industrial.
