The only thing I wasnât to say is itâs an old building andâŠ..you wonât have any control of the air conditioning. Itâs controlled by the property for the entire floor. My room had to be at least 76° - 78° when I arrived. It was awful. The fan wasnât helping either. THIS IS PHOENIX!
We had a standard room on a low rate, Phoenix temps in the low 100s. I found the hotel to be friendly and clean. It does show of age and some areas due for remodeling, however, the charm of the historic hotel is there. Limited conversations with staff were attentive and showed care for us as guests. The pool was drained and closed with other basic maintance well kept. The room temp was cool and with the use of the ceiling fan, the room tempature was comfortable in the Phoenix heat, this is meantioned due to other reviews read about the hotel and tempature controls. The lobby was humid and warm in the evening. It's an A+ 3-Star hotel. I was pleased with the stay and would stay there again.
The staff were nice and friendly but it doesn't make up for the poor condition of the hotel. Terrible ac (which matters in Phoenix) Water from the shower was either ice cold or searing hot. The pool was being fixed so it was closed. No parking or valet service for an area that honestly needs it. I would not stay again. The TV's were ancient and had no options. And there wasn't a lot of options for electricity for phone charging.
Was in Phoenix for a basketball convention. This hotel was perfect for my stay. It was in close walking distance to the Convention Center. The room was very clean. Housekeeping is top notch. the hotel is an older hotel but priced cheaper than hotels in the area.
