I come to Seattle several times a year and have tried many hotels. I chose Palihotel because of the price and the reviews. My stay was good. The bathroom was very clean and well supplied including ear plugs (which you’ll need since there were many young people staying there -possibly taking advantage of the $5 martinis in the bar) The bed was very comfortable. The decor was tasteful …vintage. The mini bar and snack basket were full of options (for a price, of course). Room service was available for breakfast, there is a coffee shop in the lobby. And of course, it’s right across from Pike Place Market.
There were a few things that weren’t as amazing as all the reviews said: The room was very small and the carpet old. There was a coffee maker on a very little table filled with cups and saucers, and water bottles for sale, however there was no outlet nearby, so you need to put the coffeemaker on the floor to use it. There is no chair to sit in to drink coffee or place to set the coffee down. The water bottles they offer are $13, so it’s worth bringing your own.
