This must have been a very "up market" establishment originally. As a hostel it is great although the gardens are in need of some TLC but we were well looked after and everything in the kitchen and lounge area were modern, tastefully presented and welcoming. We were in Room 3 with it's own onsuite. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of room for our belongings. No problem driving into town for dinner as we didn't use the kitchen. Hope it prospers!
The property was a house with separate en-suited bedrooms and a common area. I was expecting motel type accommodation. The accommodation was out of town and not within walking distance to anything. You will need a car.
The property was clean and tidy.
My hubbie did not realise this was a shared hostel. đł did not want to share amenities toilet with other people.
The place was easy to find and staff were prompt and polite.
Meg and Ross were good hosts. The room was very large and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. This is a very good value proposition for the price. Small (cheap) improvements that could be made are a wider variety of cereals (only Weetbix when I was there, cornflakes would have been nice) and perhaps a coffee plunger so you can have real as opposed to instant coffee
I didn't like the shared bathroom as too far to walk in middle of night. The host said we're very friendly and plenty of breakfast supplied. Certainly value for money.
