Generally a reasonably good hotel. I was here for conference.
A few strange areas.
At check in, they tried to take a deposit of $750 instead of $200 until I spotted it. I still haven't received an emailed invoice. I see they have charged me £3.18 for no apparent reason as I didn't take any water in room and paid all bills as I went!
One side of my room lost power one day (but fixed pretty quickly), door handle kept coming loose, but room OK.
Asked for a late checkout, which was granted, but rescinded on the day. Also had to have an airport shuttle 2 hours eariler than liked.
The restaurant menu is rather limited and not particualry vegetarian friendly.
Now the staffing issue. They have a bar/restaurant. The bar staff do an excellent job, they are friendly, efficient and work really hard.
I don't understand why you have two bar staff Monday-Wednesday and then Thurs-Sat (when the conference is on and things are really busy) you reduce the bar staff to a single person! It was generally taking 20 minutes to get served! We asked whether a member of staff was sick on those nights and was told that it was a management decision to only have one member of staff - Stupid management!
People were going across the road to Dennys to eat and drink because it was quicker! You would have easily paid for the second member of bar staff with the increased sales.
