Horrible customer service at the front desk
I had a truly disappointing experience during check-in. Upon arrival, my room was not ready, and my three children and I were left waiting for over 30 minutes past the scheduled check-in time. While waiting, I noticed a duck in the pool and expressed concern about the potential sanitation issue. I asked if the pool could be cleaned, but the front desk agent dismissed it with a shrug, showing no concern.
When I inquired about any accommodations or gestures the hotel could make for the inconvenience, the agent offered points but showed no initiative or empathy. I had to suggest a later check-out myself, which he initially claimed wasn’t possible—only for the manager to come out from the back office and approve it without hesitation.
The front desk agent lacked basic customer service skills and empathy, and the entire experience left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a guest. I expected better.
I told him I was celebrating my son's 11th birthday and he did not care at all.
