Last year when we ate breakfast there, there was a woman that kept everything stocked. It seems they got rid of her because we had to go to the main desk and ask for items. For example, we had to ask for green tea, yogurts, English muffins, knives, etc.
I couldn't find any receptacles for recyclables (cans or bottles).
The WIFI was VERY spotty.
I was very disappointed that there was no place to sit inside or outside on a comfortable chair. The lobby had a funeral party and there were table and chairs for dining everywhere else in the hotel. The party should not be allowed to take over the place where the guests who are staying there have no place to go and relax.
The Roycroft is a historic hotel in a small village with a lot of shops and restaurants. It was very clean and in a nice neighborhood. We stayed a week. Overall stay was good. Only complaints would be lack sufficient outlets in the room, no coffee maker in the room, air conditioner was very loud, and difficulty finding a parking space on the weekend. They have a lot dedicated to hotel guests, but they don't enforce the parking rules. Restaurant goers on the weekend occupy the hotel guest spaces.
Loved my stay here, the hotel was clean and beautiful, very much worth the price. Comfortable beds. Was in town for my son's sporting event and when I mentioned we would have to leave earlier than the breakfast started, they offered to get it ready a bit early for us. So nice, and it was a great breakfast! Will absolutely stay here next time I am in the area.
The Roycroft Inn was a beautiful, charming, cozy and wonderful place to stay. The staff was inviting and knowledgeable. Only the breakfast was disappointing, poor selection and my two items I chose were dry and stale. But, we were not there for the food so I have to say the place was really great.
The accommodations were great. Check in was simple and friendly with the hostess giving us information on the history of the building.
We tried the on site restaurant which seemed to be high end. We were disappointed in the the food quality to price.
Roycroft Inn has amazing architecture, interior design and history. It is a comfortable hotel. The campus was a bit disappointing as most artisans were not open. The bar was friendly, comfortable and we appreciated the fireplace on a chilly evening. Breakfast was so, so.
