This establishment needs a complete reboot. Upon entering the room we were immediately hit with a strong musty odor. Further, the carpet was stained and was not vacuumed. The bathroom towels were damp, requiring us to request a new set from the front desk staff. There were mutiple stains on the walls, not to mention the evidence of moldy discoloration on the ceiling. Under normal circumstances we would have refused the room and requested a refund. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Helene, all hotels in the area were at full occupancy, so we made the best of it and purchased a cheap stick vacuum, carpet fresh, and Febreze from Wal-Mart to help with the smell and dirty carpet. The hotel staff was friendly and apologetic as the hurricane caused an outage of the Internet and cable television. Check-in was also a little challenging as the staff had to rely on using a cell phone to confirm the reservation.
