In stayed 3 days in this hotel. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The place is beautiful as it is very different from the thousands hotels you'd find in cities such as Cape Town. It's unique, calm and very confortable with cosy sofas all around.
Unfotunately there is no restaurant and no choice around. The wifi was really bad.
But the price is very competitive and parking very easy to access.
This is a lovely, quiet hotel with outstanding service. Our only issue was the lack of wifi for an evening, not a concern with so much to do in Cape Town!
Lovely stay at Banksia. The team who work here are all fantastic, super friendly and relaxed.
The guesthouse itself is a beautiful old house with heaps of beautiful original features. Itâs in a residential, nice part of town but only about 15-20 min drive from camps bay/v&a area.
The spa is very nice, we had a great facial and massage.
Thanks team banksia!
Stay was extremly deceictful. hotel does not deserve the rating it has
Upon check in I was escourted to my room only to discover the establishment does not have any elevators or lifts, walked up 2 flights of stairs to my room and the room has no airconditioner. I advised the assistant manager and he asked me to walk back down and wait for him to find me a room with an airconditioner
he than made me walk back up the stairs to another room where the bathroom was horrific, the taps were loose and the shower door did not close, it was both a sunken shower and sunken bath which could easily pass for 2 star.
the room door was a funny key and did not even lock properly
the floors were wooden so you could hear when other ppl were moving around
the pool was green not swimmable and jacuzzi empty
If i were informed of this would have never booked this
When I did mention the star rating to the asistant manager I was told it is a boutique hotel and not normal hotel
Stating at Banksia boutique hotel was a dream! We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful old villa, well appointed amenities and friendly and welcoming staff. We felt very safe and still extremely close to everything in Cape Town - it is situated at the bottom of Table mountain, in a quiet little neighbourhood. Excellent and freshly made breakfast every day gave us a great start to a week full of fun and exploring this beautiful part of the world. Thank you so muchđ
The property is beautiful, the staff were exceedingly friendly and we got another room, as the aircon in our first room was broken, the treatments at the spa are really nice, breakfast was prepared with attention to detail. Very good value for money.
It is always an exceptional experience at Banksia! The building is gorgeous and all the rooms are unique. The mountain view is a CAPE Town iconic postcard.
The staff is kind and accommodating both managing the property and preparing and serving the stunning breakfast. Hope i can continue to return.
A beautiful building in a very attractive suburb of Cape Town. The property is very clean and the room is comfortable although the two large armchairs in the bedroom we used rather cramped the space and were unnecessary. The overall condition is good, but now a little tired in places. It would definitely benefit from a professional update which would really make this period property amazing.
