2/10 Médiocre
4 novembre 2024
I strongly advise against booking this accommodation.
Most of the positive reviews here appear fake, seemingly aimed at boosting the rating but completely detached from reality. I booked through Expedia and paid over a month in advance.
Upon arrival, the reception was unstaffed, and I could hear construction noises. Eventually, a man arrived who spoke only Hindi and handed me a phone number to call. When I called, I was informed that the accommodation was closed, and I was rebooked to another (internal) property. However, no assistance was offered to help me get there, so I had to walk 25 minutes under the scorching sun with two suitcases.
Upon arriving at the other accommodation, the staff there had no knowledge of my rebooking. After a quick phone call and showing my booking confirmation, I was shown to a room. The facility was in a state of disrepair, with unfinished areas and parts that resembled a junkyard (see photos). The entire place was run-down, and the pool was green and unclean – swimming there would have been unthinkable. The room itself was in a deplorable condition and unacceptable.
Thankfully, Expedia assisted me in rebooking to a proper hotel that evening.
My recommendation: Opt for international hotel chains with established standards to avoid such unpleasant experiences. Situations like this are unfortunately not uncommon in India. Spending a little more per night is worth it for safety, hygiene, and peace of mind.
