Disappointing visit in Green Village
First everything seemed so nice, lady welcoming us was so kind. Then… They didn’t have transportation, so they ordered a taxi for us for the office to out bungallow. It took us almost 1 hour to find it (10km away), since there was no guides at the Green village area. It was so frustrating driving around there, and they didn’t answer texts or calls when we were trying to ask for guidance.
They actually answered so slowly to texts. We were told to send messages, if any questions. It took them two days to response. We had no hot water coming until the last day of our visit.
There were two ports you had to come through, first the Cap Cana’s port and then Green villages. The area was so big and empty. The nearest restaurant (I got food poisoning from) and the little store next to it was only ones around. So you needed car to move there. Or golf cart, which you couldn’t drive outside of the two ports.
You were not allowed to drive scooter in the whole Cap Cana area. It was disappointing, we love to drive around in sunny weather.
The bungallow itself was wonderful and the pool lovely. In the kitchen there was no working lighters, so we had to buy our own and the hot water problem 😅 but otherwise it was great.
Luckily this was our third week and third place in the Dominican Republic, would’ve been so disappointing to just stay here. Felt little like prison, to be honest.
If you wanna stay away of local things, this place might be for you. For us it clearly wasn’t.
