Stayed 2 nights at the Winnoch. Ideal base for touring around Loch Lomond area. Food very good and all staff very helpful. Room very comfortable. Only one criticism, WiFi very poor.
One night stop over, food good but breakfast time was a bit hap hazard as we couldn't use restaurant due to over crowding. The building and surrounding area were very pleasing on the eye.
Room was decent: good size, clean and reasonably comfortable bed. Bathroom was fine: but some of the grout on shower tiles gone black. Shower pressure good but one of those showers that only comes to head height so you have to bend down to wash your hair. My major issue was the extractor / aircon noise. I think I was above the kitchen and it droned loudly until 10.30pm. Coupled with neighbouring rooms leaving their bathroom light / extractor on, it was really annoying. You can also hear conversations in neighbouring rooms. Didn't get peace until about 11.30pm. So it's not ideal if you want to get up early and go walking...
But the breakfast was great. Didn't get to try the food in the evening.
Room and facilities were tired. Fire proof door to room was badly fitted, drawers to cupboards were broken bed springs were felt when sleeping. Tap in bathroom gave hot water whichever way it was turned.
Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Food in evening 2/5. Overall hotel was tired, felt like the management needed to sort building and systems out.
Another excellent stay at Winnock fabulous a-tentative staff and such an enjoyable expierance Food and drinks were great hotel plus room was high standard exceptionally clean which all made for such an enjoyable stay
